HIIT TRAINING
HIIT (High intensity interval training) means short term training under maximum stress. With high intensity training, the training effect is as high as or higher than with long training times at medium or low intensity. HIIT workouts are performed at 80-95% of your maximum heart rate. At this intensity, HIIT can do what a 20 minute, 3km jog would do. For example, running, fast walking, jumping rope, climbing stairs, etc.
CARDIO TRAINING
Cardio exercise uses the large muscles of your body in movement over a sustained period of time, keeping your heart rate to at least 50% of its maximum level. With regular aerobic exercises for example, high knees, butt kicks, burpees etc. The best way to get your heart pumping and the sweat dripping? Compound exercises, which involve multiple joints and more than one muscle group. This way, you get every part of your body in on the action and burn more calories.
STRENGTH TRAINING
Resistance/ Strength Training: Resistance training (also called strength training or weight training) is the use of resistance to muscular contraction to build the strength, anaerobic endurance and size of skeletal muscles. Using resistance bands, using your body weight for resistance, by doing push-ups, pull-ups, crunches, leg squats or push-ups against a wall.
TONING TRAINING
Toning/Weight control Training: help you lose weight by burning calories during and after your workout. It may also help you build muscle mass, which raises your resting metabolic rate the number of calories your body burns at rest. For example, jogging or running, weight training, interval training etc.
MOBILITY TRAINING
Mobility & Movement Training: the ability of a joint to move freely through a given range of motion (ROM) without restriction from surrounding tissues. When it comes to body movement patterns, the joints have varying needs for mobility, stability and flexibility, this includes, Hamstring and Hip Opener, Arm and Shoulder Circles, Hip Circles.
SPORTS CONDITIONING
Sports conditioning: training the body to get ready for the training season for athletes. Training programs will vary from sport to sport. Doing a Sports conditioning program will help the athlete out preform other athletes that are at a similar skill level, a re- fined sport-specific athletic fitness level, and conditioning, for both performance and injury-risk reduction.
CIRCUIT TRAINING
A combination of six or more exercises performed with short rest periods between them for either a set number of repetitions or a prescribed amount of time. One circuit is when all of the chosen exercises have been completed. Multiple circuits can be performed in one training session. An example of a simple circuit training workout might consist of push-ups, sit-ups, squats, chin-ups and lunges.
KETTLEBELL TRAINING
Kettlebells are known to improve overall strength, core power, balance, flexibility, and coordination while also melting fat and sculpting healthy and lean muscles. Because a kettlebell has an off-set centre of gravity, usually about 6 to 8 inches away from your grip on the handle, it is harder to control. Kettlebells offer a different kind of training using dynamic moves targeting almost every aspect of fitness endurance, strength, balance, agility and cardio endurance.
